 Margaret Denise Quigley is an American film and television actress. Maggie Q is her stage name. She had initially hoped to become a veterinarian scientist, but the financial challenges of her family prevented her from obtaining the funds she required. In order to earn enough money to fund her dream, she quit Honolulu, her hometown. The first part of her journey was to Tokyo, where she began her career as a model followed by Taipei before finally settling in Hong Kong. While living in Hong Kong, she met superstar Jackie Chan who took an instant liking to Q.
