Sean Connery, a tall and muscular actor from Scotland, is well-known for his role as James Bond, the first actor to portray James Bond in the highly successful film franchise. He starred in seven films between 1962 and 1983. Many thought that Connery would be unable to let go of such a career-defining role however he proved them wrong and became one of the most prominent film actors of his generation with many great movies to his credit. The culmination of this was perhaps his greatest acclaim in 1988 when Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as an Irish cop in The Untouchables (1987), stealing the thunder from the film's main star Kevin Costner. Connery was voted "The Most Beautiful Scot" as well as "Scotland's Most Beautiful Living National Treasure". People magazine named Connery the "Sexiest Man alive" in the year 1989. He
