Paul Rudd

 Paul Stephen Rudd was born in Passaic, New Jersey. His parents, Michael Rudd and Gloria, are both Jewish. They were born in London, U.K. His only sister is three years older than Paul. Paul was a frequent traveler with his family throughout his early years, because of his father's airline job at TWA. His family settled in Kansas and his mother was an executive in sales at KSMO-TV. Paul attended Shawnee Mission West High School as well as Broadmoor Junior High School. He graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1987, where he was also student body president. Then he enrolled at the University of Kansas in Lawrence to study the theater. He was a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts-West in Los Angeles and participated in a three-month intensive workshop under the direction of Michael Kahn at the British Drama Academy located at Oxford University in Britain. Rudd was a part of the production team for the Globe Theater's production of Howard Brenton's "Bloody Poetry," in which the lead was Rudd as Percy Bysshe Shelley.
