Lennox Lewis

 After a lengthy amateur career that included winning the gold medal in the 1988 Seoul Olympics as a knockout of Riddick Bowe (who later won the world heavyweight title), Lennox Lewis became an professional boxer in 1989. His 2 round win over Canadian boxer Donnovan Ruddock in the month of October in 1992 made him known as an opponent in the heavyweight ranks. Lewis, who is a citizen of Canada and England was set to fight Riddick bowe in the Evander Holyfield vs Riddick fight. Bowe, who was the victim of an astonishing knockout from Lewis at the level of amateurs suffered but refused to honor his contract and did not offer Lewis the title shot he deserved.
