Hugh Jackman

 Hugh Michael Jackman is an Australian actor, singer, multi-instrumentalist, dancer and producer. His roles as romance, superhero and period characters in major movies have earned him international acclaim. He is best known for his character Wolverine which is the longest-running character from the X-Men series. Also, he has a role in the romantic-comedy drama Kate & Leopold (2004) as well as action-horror films Van Helsing (2004) and The Prestige and The Fountain (2006). The actor was also part of the epic romantic drama of the past called Australia (2008) and the movie version (2012) of Les Miserables. His performance in Les Miserables earned him his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor and his first Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy in 2013. In Broadway theater, Jackman won a Tony Award for his performance in The Boy from Oz. He also won an Emmy Award in one of his appearances as host for the Tony Awards. Jackman was also the host of the 81st Academy Awards, which took place on 22 February 2009. He is the youngest of five children. His parents, both English relocated to Australia just prior to his birth. His ancestry include Scottish (from his grandmother) and Greek (from his great-grandfather)
