Amy Frederica Brenneman (born June 22 1964) is an American actor and producer. Her television career was extensive. She rose to fame as Detective Janice Licalsi on the ABC series NYPD Blue (1993-1994). Brenneman was next in the CBS drama series Judging Amy (1999 - 2005) and also co-created it. Brenneman was nominated for five Primetime Emmy Awards in recognition of her work on Judging Amy (1999-2005). Brenneman also starred as Judge Amy Gray in the drama series on CBS, Private Practice (2007-2013), and also as Laurie Garvey (2014-2017). Her most well-known role is her character of Faye Moskowitz in Frasier. Brenneman was also born to Frederica Joanne (nee Shoenfield), who serves as a judge in the Connecticut State Superior Court and Russell Langdon Brenneman Jr. is an environmental lawyer. Beryl D.Hines who was journalist of the Cold War era was her aunt. Her father was an environmental lawyer, named Russell Langdon Brenneman Jr. was who was of English, Irish and Swiss descent.
