Amber Evangeline Valletta, born February 9, 1974 was an American actress and model. At the age of 18 she made her debut in fashion modeling. She was featured on her initial sixteen American Vogue covers. In the 1990s, Valletta rose to the top as a supermodel. She was the model for Chanel, Chanel, Escada and Louis Vuitton. Valletta hosted House of Style on MTV from 1995 until 1996 along alongside Shalom Harlow, a friend as well as model. She also signed multimillion-dollar cosmetics agreements with Calvin Klein and Elizabeth Arden. Her first big film role in the form of the poltergeist in Robert Zemeckis's thriller of the supernatural What Lies Beneath (2000). She has since been in films like Hitch (2005), Transporter 2 (2005), Man About Town (2006), Dead Silence (2007), Gamer (2009) and The Spy Next Door (2010). She moved to television in 2011, appearing as Lydia Davis, a fallen socialite in ABC's drama series Revenge. In 2015, Valletta starred as the scheming Carla Briggs in another ABC soap opera, Blood & Oil.Amber Evangeline Valletta was born in Phoenix, Arizona and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Theresa Malaby was her mother. Her father is Portuguese and of Italian origin. Her mother, however, identifies as being part Cherokee as well as English.
