American actor Terrence Howard is a well-known musician and actor. He is best known for his Oscar-nominated performance an actor in the American drama film 'Hustle and the Flow. Following his TV debut in 1992 with the film 'The Jacksons, An American Dream', Howard then played a prominent role in films like 'Dead presidentsand 'Mr. Holland's Opus. The two most successful works are "Crash," an American drama for which he received numerous awards and nominations, and 'Hustle & The Flow', another drama film, which again earned him several awards with nominations for an Oscar and an Oscar nomination. Howard was born into an abusive and violent family. He suffered a terrible childhood. Despite this, he pursued his ambitions and, after separating himself from his parents, he moved to New York to pursue an acting career. After a couple of years performing in small roles he finally came to popularity through his performance in "Dead presidents.' Howard is also an experienced musician. He released his first studio album 'Shine through It' in 2008. The album contained eleven tracks, all written from him. The album was ranked No. 31 on the US Billboard 200.
