Shailene Woodley

 Actress Shailene Woodley is an activist and actress. She was born to Lonnie Woodley, a principal at the school as well as Lori (Victor) who works as the middle school counselor. She has a brother named Tanner. She attended Simi Valley High School, California. When Woodley was just four years old, she started commercial modeling. She began playing roles in acting and made her screen debut in Replacing Dad (1999). Further roles followed in The District (2000), The O.C. (2003) and Crossing Jordan (2001),amongst others. Woodley was just 15 when she was diagnosed as being diagnosed with Idiopathic Scoliosis. She wore an arm brace that ran that ran from her chest to her hips for two years. In 2008, Woodley was the lead character in The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008). In 2011, Woodley made her big screen debut in Alexander Payne’s The Descendants (2011) opposite George Clooney. The performance of Alexandra King brought critical acclaim and recognition from the film industry. She received an Independent Spirit Award and the 2012 MTV Movie Awards Breakthrough Performance Award in addition to a Golden Globe nomination.
