Michael Strahan, a former American professional football player, is now a TV host. He was a defensive defender for his entire fifteen-year NFL career. His strong, tall physique and his unstoppable determination to stop the offensive play of the opposing team made him one of the most prominent players of the NFL. He was the first to pioneer the world of sacks and established a new standard in the game. His impact on the game led him to smash the 18-year-old NFL record of 22.5 sacks. After retiring from the game and re-joining the media where he enjoyed enormous success, starting as a co-host and later hosting talk shows as well as football analysis programs, and even a gameshow. Acting wise too and a great actor, he has appeared in guest roles in sitcoms and movies with the same panache. The author of his best-selling book and has created a line of luggage, clothing, shoes, and accessories for men. A committed philanthropist in spirit and through action, he's been involved with the American Cancer Society, 'Housing Enterprises for the Less Privileged', 'Straight Children's Foundation' etc. Apart from appearing in a public service announcement by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals', he led the campaign to stop NFL games shortly after the tragic September 11th attacks.
