Amy Jo Johnson

 Amy Jo Johnson (born October 6 1970) is an American musician, actress, and filmmaker. Johnson is most well-known as an actress, primarily for her roles on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' Kimberly Hart and Felicity's Julie Emrick. Johnson also directed two short films: Bent (2013), Lines (2014) and Tammy's Always Dying (2018). Johnson was the daughter of Greig Johnson the car salesman, and Christine Johnson (d.1998), who was a manager at a clothing store. Two siblings are her: one brother and an older sister. Johnson was born in Hyannis however, she grew up in Dennis and attended Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School. Johnson began gymnastics as a child. At age 18 Johnson moved to New York City to pursue acting. She attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy as well as the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. She later moved to Los Angeles to audition for her first part.Johnson's breakthrough role came just less than one month after moving to Los Angeles, when she was cast to play Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the first installment of the Power Rangers franchise.
