Ami Bluebell Dolenz born on the 8th of January, 1969 was an American actress. She was raised in Burbank, California into a showbiz family. Dolenz is daughter of Micky Dolenz, a 1960s rock group, and Samantha Juste, a British television presenter. The paternal grandparents of her are George Dolenz (film actor) and Janelle Johnson (film actress). Dolenz was just 15 when she won the junior talent competition and decided to be an actress. Dolenz quit high school and began to perform in a variety of roles on TV shows. She was then featured in The Children of Times Square and also a two-episode stint in Growing Pains. She had a small part in Can't Buy Me Love in 1987. In the following year, she got the role of Melissa McKee in the long-running soap drama General Hospital; the role attracted the attention of critics for Dolenz and she earned two nominations (in 1988 and 1989 respectively) for a Young Artist Award. [citation needed]After leaving General Hospital in 1989, Dolenz got a role as a co-star alongside Tony Danza in She's Out of Control. She portrayed Sloane Peterson on Ferris Bueller the next year. The sitcom was based upon Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. It lasted only thirteen episodes before it was ended in 1991. Following its cancellation, Dolenz starred in Children of the Night and then played the lead in 1992's Miracle Beach
