Amelle Berrabah

 Amelle Berrabah, also known as Amelle (born 22 April 1984), is a British singer from the UK. She replaced Mutya Buena in December 2005. She achieved a solo number one single in 2009, when she joined forces with Tinchy Stryder on their single "Never Leave You", that made her the first and to date, only member of the Sugababes to achieve a number-one single that was not part of the group.Berrabah was born on 22 April 1984 in Aldershot, Hampshire to Moroccan parents. There are four sisters: younger sister Samiya and older sisters Laila, Zakiya and Nora and a brother Khaled. The family that owned the kebab shop was from Aldershot. shop in Aldershot. Her father passed away from cancer in 2002. Berrabah was a student at The Connaught School in Aldershot and the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford in Guildford, the latter for the merits of the scholarship. It was then that she began working with her managers, and later created the band Boo2 along with her sister Samiya and began searching for record-deal opportunities. In 2003 she was named Top of the Pops' Star Search winner. She had also appeared at Party in the Park.
