Amelle Berrabah (born 22 April 1984), also called Amelle or Amelle, is a British singerwho is most well-known for her time as a member of the girl group Sugababes who replaced their founding member Mutya Buena, who left the group in December. She achieved a solo number one single in 2009 when she collaborated with Tinchy Stryder on their single "Never Leave You", that made her the first and to date, the only member of the Sugababes to reach the top spot on a single outside of the group.Berrabah was born on 22 April 1984 in Aldershot, Hampshire to Moroccan parents. She is the youngest sister of Samiya, and older sisters Zakiya, Nora, and Khaled, her brother. The family that owned the kebab restaurant in Aldershot. In 2002, her father was diagnosed with cancer. Berrabah was studying at The Connaught School, Aldershot as well as the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford. The latter school was awarded a scholarship. She got her managers' attention, founded Boo2 together with Samiya and started to seek out opportunities through recording contracts. She won Top of the Pops magazine's Star Search in 2003 that gave her the opportunity to be the singer-in-chief of a new group . The group had also performed at Party in the Park as well.
