 Amber Evangeline Valletta (born February 9, 1974) is an American model and actress. At the age of eighteen she started her career in modeling fashion. Her work was showcased on her initial sixteen American Vogue covers. In the 1990s, Valletta reached the status of supermodel. She was the face of Giorgio Armani, Chanel, Escada, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Valentino, Gucci and Versace and signing multimillion-dollar cosmetics contracts with Calvin Klein and Elizabeth Arden. Valletta was host of House of Style on MTV from 1995 until 1996 along with Shalom Harlow, a close friend as well as model. She also signed multimillion-dollar contracts for cosmetics with Elizabeth Arden and Calvin Klein. Her first film role was as a poltergeist, in Robert Zemeckis’s supernatural thriller What Lies Beneath (2000). Since then, she has appeared in films like Hitch (2005) as well as Transporter 2 (2006), Man About Town (2006) as well as Dead Silence (2007), Gamer (2008) and The Spy Next Door (2010). The actress made her debut on television in 2011, appearing as Lydia Davis, a fallen socialite on ABC's drama series Revenge. Valletta was a part of the role as Carla Briggs, a scheming socialite, in ABC's 2015 soap show Blood & Oil. Valletta was born in Tulsa and was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Theresa Malaby was her mother. Her father is Portuguese and is of Italian origin. Her mother is part Cherokee and English.
