Yvonne Craig

 Yvonne Joyce Craig was conceived in Taylorville, Illinois on May 16, 1937. Yvonne was an impressive young dancer at the time she was just a teenager. She was later accepted by Denham's Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. Training progressed until she left the company in the year 1957 because of disagreements over casting changes. To continue dancing, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue this dream. However, she was soon being cast in films. In the beginning, Yvonne had small roles in films such as Gidget (1959) and The Gene Krupa Story (1959). Following that, her film career just bumped along. As Yvonne was in a relationship with Elvis Presley in the midst of her relationship, she had a supporting role in the two Elvis movies, It Happened at the World's Fair (1963) and Kissin Cousins (1964).But her fame would begin with the cult television series Batman (1966) in which she played Commissioner Gordon's daughter, Barbara. She was also Batgirl and had full access to the Commissioner's Gotham City troubles. The season 1967-68 saw the end of the series' period. Batgirl was her character. She also appeared in Star Trek: The Original Series (1966) and The Six Million Dollar Man (1974). When her career was ending, Yvonne went into the real estate market. Yvonne Craig, age 78, died from breast cancer in her Pacific Palisades home in California on the 17th of August, 201
