Donna Douglas

 Donna Douglas was an American actor and singer from the United States. She is famous for her character Elly May Clampett in "The Beverly Hillbillies" (1962-1971) which was one of the most loved sitcoms ever created. She started as model and later won a couple of beauty pageants also. Donna later appeared on a few variety shows and eventually earned the breakthrough role of "Elly.' Despite being in a variety of TV productions in the 1960s, Donna was still relatively unknown when she auditioned for the 'Hillbillies.' Other than the 'Hillbillies', Donna did not have any notable projects during her career. However, she did appear in the lead role in the Elvis Presley-starrer, 'Frankie and Johnny' the film was not well-known. Following her long stint in the 'Hillbillies', Donna was a real estate agent and later a gospel singer. She was also a well-known motivational speaker, and had written a few books for adults and children.
