Rosamund Pike

 Born in London, England in 1979, Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was the sole child of Caroline (Friend who was an accomplished classical violinist) and Julian Pike, an opera singer father. Due to her parents' job, she spent much of her childhood travelling around Europe. Pike was a student at the Badminton School in Bristol, England and began acting in the National Youth Theatre. Pike was just 23 years old when she made her debut in "Romeo and Juliet" at the National Youth Theatre. She was then discovered by an agent and signed. While her debut was a major-budget action feature, the film subsequent work was mostly in smaller independent films, including Promised Land (2004), The Libertine (2004), (for which she was awarded the Best Supporting Actress award at The British Independent Film Awards), and Pride & Prejudice (2005) as one of the Bennet daughters. A brief venture into Hollywood film was followed by the action film, Doom (2005) as well as the thriller, Fracture (2007) however, she returned to smaller films with outstanding performance in three films which include A New Education (2009), Made in Dagenham (2010), as well as the lead role opposite Paul Giamatti in Barney's Version (2010).
