Marilyn Monroe

 Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962) Model, actress, singer and possibly one of the most well-known women of the 20th century. Monroe is an icon of beauty and fame for women. Her reputation is widely recognized as one of the most powerful figures in American culturMonroe was born Norma Jeane Mortenson, in June 1926. Her mother was Gladys Pearl Baker (nee Monroe, 1902-1984) Her father was unknown and she was baptized Norma Jeane Baker. Her mother Gladys had a turbulent mental state, and was struggling to manage the demands of raising her children. For the first six years of her life, Marilyn was brought up by foster parents Albert and Ida Bolender in the town of Hawthorne, California. Marilyn's mother was trying to get her back after she suffered mental health issues. Marilyn was then moved between orphanages and foster homes. Because of her childhood trauma, she became timid and reserved.
