Paul McCartney

 Sir Paul McCartney is an important persona in the world of contemporary music. He is a musician, poet and writer, and also an artist and entrepreneur, humanitarian, and the holder of more than 3000 copyrights. He is included in the "Guinness Book of World Records" for the highest number of records sold, most #1s (shared) as well as the most-covered song, "Yesterday," largest paid audience for a solo concert (350,000or more, in 1989, in Brazil). He is regarded as one of the most successful entertainers of all time.He was born James Paul McCartney on June 18, 1942, in Liverpool General Hospital, where his mother, Mary Patricia (Mohin) was a nurse in the medical department and midwife. James "Jim" McCartney was his father. He worked as a seller of cotton and a pianist who was part of the Jim Mac's Jazz Band, Liverpool. McCartney is of Irish and English descent. The young McCartney was raised non-denominational. He took classes in art and music, and had a happy childhood with his younger brother named Michael. When he was 11, he was among of only four students to pass the 11+ exam also known as "the scholarship" in Liverpool and earned a place at Liverpool Institute for Boys. He attended the institute from 1953 until 1960, earning A level in English and Art.
