Lil Scrappy (born January 20, 1984) is the stage name for rapper Darryl Richards II. He was discovered by producer Lil Jon while performing at an event for schools in his home town of Atlanta. Together with Labelmates Trillville, Lil Scrappy was one of the first signings to Lil Jon's BME Recordings.Lil Scrappy gained a solid image and an enthusiastic following throughout the Southeast through mixtapes and the street anthem of 2003 "Head Bussa." In 2003, Lil Jon inked a deal to bring his BME Recordings to Warner Bros. Records as part of a joint venture. The Lil Jon signature album, Head Bussa, made an impact in the radio community. It ranked the top spot on Billboard's hip hop/r&b charts. "No Problem" has also climbed to the top 30 of the Billboard 100, and the top 10 on both the R&B- and rap charts. The success of "No Problem" as well as Trillville's smash songs "Some Cut"and "Neva Eva" helped the album reach 3rd on the Billboard R&B charts and #12 on Billboard 200 in 2004.
