Jason Momoa

 Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa, was born in Honolulu on August 1 1979. Coni Momoa (a photographer) and Joseph Momoa (a painter) are his parents. His father is Native Hawaiian and Samoan descent; and his mother, who hails from Iowa has German, Irish, and Native American ancestry. Jason was born in Norwalk, Iowa, by his mother. He relocated to Hawaii after graduating from high school. He was able to land an important role in the show over thousands of hopefuls. He spent the next few years travelling the globe after the show ended. He moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to continue his acting career. After the TV series North Shore (2004) ended, he was named Ronon Dex, the main character of Stargate: Atlantis (2004). This series gained a loyal following. In 2010, he was a guest on the Emmy-nominated HBO series Game of Thrones (2011), playing the role of the Dothraki King, Khal Drogo. He performed the Haka, the traditional Maori war dance to show producers that he was Khaldrugo. The audition took place with the same casting director who had cast the titular role in Conan the Barbarian: The Reboot.
