Jeanette Helen Morrison was an American actress, singer, author, and dancer. She was honored with the world famous Golden Globe awards for her performance in the thriller movie called 'Psycho'.. The actress also received an Academy Award nomination for her part in the film. She was the mother of Kelly cutis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was assisted by actress Norma Shearer to get her first break. After her debut as an actor on radio in 1946, she received a job at MGM in 1947. During her early life as an actor, she made prominent appearances in big box-office hits in various genres, including Little Women, Act of Violence, Angels in the Outfield, The Naked Spur, Scaramouche and also Living It Up. The marriage she had with actress Jamie Lee Curtis made headlines several times and finally, it led to divorce in the year 1962. In the same year, she quit acting. Though she did appear in a few notable films later, however, they were few and far between. Leigh passed away in 2004 following one year of battle with an illness that was caused by the inflammation of blood vessels.
