Hunter McGrady, an American-sized model and activist for healthy body image, has been called the "curviest" model to have ever appeared in an Sports Illustrated issue. She was included in the magazine's 2017 Swimsuit Issue. Even though she didn’t win her spot, she participated in the magazine's "Swimsuit Model Search'. Her debut came as a rookie on the swimsuit issue of 2018. This was part of the campaign "In Her Own Words" that allowed the activist in her to express herself and express herself through body words which were important to her. She is currently signed to Wilhelmina Models Curve Division in Los Angeles and New York and has also worked for brands such as Lucky Brand, Bare Necessities, and Lane Bryant. Melissa McCarthy's clothing line, Seven7, has had her model for it. Ashley Graham's swimsuits for all photoshoot was also done. In September of 2017 she walked on the New York Fashion Week ramp. She's keen on launching her own clothing and cosmetics line in the near future.
