Elizabeth Olsen is an American actress, best known for her role in the highly acclaimed film "Martha Marcy May Marlene' in which she earned much appreciation. She is also well-known for her roles in films such as "Silent House," and 'Godzilla. She is the younger sister to actresses Mary Kate Olsen and Mary Kate. When she was young she started acting. She was in the films of the sisters. Her parents recognized her talent and took her in singing and ballet classes. She knew from a young time that she was destined to perform. After the high school level, she was enrolled at the 'New York University Tisch School of the Arts' to develop her talents. In addition, she spent a year learning at the 'Moscow Arts Theatre School located in Russia. Being an ambitious young woman, she appeared in several films before she graduated from "Tisch.' Pretty well-educated, confident, and gifted, Olsen successfully made the transition from being a child actor to an adult. Her career got a huge boost when she starred in the movie 'Martha Marcy May Marlene', for which she was nominated to receive the Critics' Choice Movie Award' for "Best Actress as well as the 'Independent Spirit Award' for the 'Best Female lead. She climbed higher levels when she was cast as Sarah in the horror movie remake 'Silent house.' She continues to grow as a performer and is currently exploring a variety of challenging roles.
