Denzel Washington

 Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr. was born on the 28th of December 1954 in Mount Vernon, New York. He is the son of Lennis Washington, a Georgia-based beautician, and Denzel Washington, Jr. who hails from Virginia. After finishing high school, Denzel enrolled at Fordham University with the intention of pursuing an academic career in journalism. He was an actor in the drama productions. Following graduation , he moved to San Francisco to enroll at the American Conservatory Theater. He left A.C.T. within a year, and went on to pursue a job as an actor. His first acting gig was with the St. Mary's City summer stock theatre stage production. The production was titled "Wings of the Morning" and it is about the founding of Maryland, today the state of Maryland. It also includes the first steps of Maryland's colonial assembly which is a legislative body. He played the real historical character Mathias Da Sousa, although much of the dialogue was created. Then he began to look for screen roles seriously. He was a versatile actor and had a powerful presence, which made it simple to get work in a variety of TV productions.
