 Anne Hathaway is a multiple award-winning American actress, singer, and producer. She has acted in several films including 'The Princess Diaries, 'The Devil Wears Prada, as well as 'Becoming Jane. Born to an actress Anne was exposed to the basics of acting at a very young age. Influenced by her mother she became interested in acting when she was three. When she turned eight she expressed her desire to pursue a career in acting to her parents. She began to appear in commercials as an teen and was the very first teenager to be accepted into the prestigious acting program at the New York City-based Barrow Group. She was part of numerous productions on stage while in middle school. She made her debut as a professional actor on television when she was a high school student. Then she branched out into film and became an actor in the Disney movie 'The Princess Diaries'. Anne Hathaway, who has received numerous prestigious awards for acting, is also a talented vocalist and voice actor. She is a vocal advocate for marriage equality and an LGBT activist.
