Amanda Peet is an American actress who came into the spotlight following her appearance in the 2000 American crime-comedy film "The Whole Nine Yards". She was able to get into film after appearing in a number of commercials and small television roles during the 90s. She was a part of the American comedy film Saving Silverman and then acted in the American romantic comedy "Something's to Give". She was also a part of the comedy movies that have been wildly popular 'Griffin & Phoenix', and "The Ex". Peet has also appeared in comedy movies. In the beginning of 2000, she appeared in the American geopolitical thriller film 'Syriana' and the science fiction movie 'The X-Files: I Want to Believe. When she was a child, she was naturally gifted in academics and determined to explore acting as a profession. Uta Hagen was her acting coach and she began her acting career. In the span of three years, she was part of the American comedy drama television series 'Jack and Jill. Then she was on the show "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip' which is a different comedy-drama. Peet has also taken part in various campaigns that promote childhood vaccinations. She was recognized by the Independent Investigative Group (IIG) for her work campaigning for vaccines.
