Amy Lauren Landecker (born September 30 1969) is an American actress. Her most well-known role is her role on the Amazon comedy-drama series Transparent (2014-1919), as well as her roles in supporting parts in the films Dan In Real Life (2007) and A Serious Man (2008), All Is Bright (2013), Project Almanac (2015), Beatriz at Dinner (2017). Landecker was born September 30, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois. She is the daughter of John Records Landecker who was a Chicago radio personality. One of her maternal great-grandfathers Joseph N. Welch, was her lawyer. She attended theater classes at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Her paternal grandfather was a German Jewish refugeeLandecker earned her Screen Actors Guild card doing a voiceover for a Tampax commercial. The commercial features she is a voice-over for the actress who is on camera, saying just the word "ballet" and she earned $10,000 in residuals from the commercial.
