Amrita Rao, an Hindi actress born 7 June was well-known for her roles in Hindi films. Rao's acting debut was in Ab Ke Baras (2002) that earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award in 2003 for the best Female Debut. Rao was later seen in many successful films such as the romantic dramas Ishq Vishk (2003) and Main Hoon Na (2004). She was also in Vivah (2006), Vivah (2006) and the comedy-thriller Masti (2004). This made her "Bollywood's most famous girl-next-door". She is the recipient of IIFA Award and two Stardust Award She made her debut in the Telugu film industry in the film Athidhi (2007). She was in the film Welcome to Sajjanpur (2008), which earned her Stardust Award as Best Actress. Post this, most of her films turned out to be commercial failures. She then appeared in the National Award winning film Jolly LLB (2013). Following this, she appeared in films including Singh Saab the Great (2013), Satyagraha (2013) and Thackeray (2019).Rao played the role of judge on the reality show, Perfect Bride in 2009. Her TV debut came in the form of the TV show Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai in the year 2016. M. F. Husain declared Amrita Raio as his second muse, and he also created numerous paintings dedicated to the actress's role on Vivah.
