Amber Tamblyn

 Amber Rose Tamblyn, born May 14th, 1983, is an American actress. When she was 11 years old she gained the attention of the nation for her role as Emily Quartermaine on the soap opera General Hospital. Then she landed a prominent part on the prime-time show Joan of Arcadia, portraying the main character Joan Girardi, for which she was awarded Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. She has appeared in a variety of feature films which include Tibby Rollins, Megan McBride, and Megan McBride, from the initial two films The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Additionally, she starred opposite Tilda Swanton in the critically popular film Stephanie Daley which debuted in The Sundance Film Festival. Tamblyn was nominated and won the award for Best Actress at the Locarno International Film Festival. In 2021, she played opposite Diane Lane in FX's Y: The Last Man.Tamblyn is a published author and cultural critic at large. She has written seven books across genres, and writes for The New York Times and other publications about issues related to gender inequality and women's rageTamblyn was born in Santa Monica, California. Russ Tamblyn is her father.
