Katy Tur

 Katharine Bear Tur (born October 26 September 1983) is an American author and broadcast journalist working as the correspondent for NBC News. Tur is anchor for MSNBC Live. She has also covered NBC News' NBC News platforms Early Today, Today and NBC Nightly News. Tur is the daughter and journalist Hanna Zoey Tur. Tur graduated from Brentwood School in 2001 and the University of California Santa Barbara in 2005 with an undergraduate degree in science. She also has reported for KTLA and HD News/Cablevision as well as News 12 Brooklyn and WPIX-TV as well as Fox 5 New York. Tur was an experienced storm chaser for The Weather Channel's VORTEX2 team. Then she joined WNBC-TV in New York City and rose to become the flagship NBC News. She covered Cory Monteith's tragic death and a fatal motorcycle attack against an SUV and the MH-370 search while working in NBC News.
