Heather Ann Nauert, born on the 27th of January, 1970 is an American journalist. She was the spokesperson for the United States Department of State from April 2017. She was a co-host of Fox & Friends and Fox & Friends First as well as was previously a correspondent for ABC News.Nauert is a native of Rockford, Illinois. Peter Nauert was her father and was an executive in insurance. She has three brothers: Justin, Jonathan, and Joseph.She attended Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. She holds earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Mount Vernon College for Women. Columbia University gave her her master's degree in journalism. In 1996, she was an reporter for the syndicated weekly news program First Business. She was employed by Fox News from 1998 to 2005. She began as contributor for three years then as a reporter for four years. She contributed regularly to The Big Story during her time as a reporter.
