Tim Allen is an American actor as well as a comedian, voice over artist entertainer, writer and actor. After many years of struggle as stand-up comedians in Los Angeles, and appearing in small-time television commercials and cable shows, Allen finally got his breakthrough on ABC's sitcom "Home Improvement." The series lasted eight years and set the stage for Allen's acting career. The show also established Allen as an actor as well as comedian in Hollywood. After appearing in the sitcom, he landed large roles in films such as "Galaxy Quest" and "The Santa Clause' film series. Allen also voiced 'Buzz lightyear in the 'Toy Story' film series. Allen was a chaotic individual before he became an actor. Allen was just 11 years old when his father passed away. He used illicit drugs to earn cash. He was arrested for possession of cocaine and was sentenced to 28 months in prison.
