Rob Lowe was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Barbara Lynn (Hepler), teacher, as well as Charles Davis Lowe, a lawyer. Chad Lowe is his brother. He is also German and is of English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, and Welsh ancestral ancestry. The family of Lowe moved to Dayton, Ohio, when he was a teenager. Rob began acting as an teen.
