Melissa Benoist is an American singer and actress who came to fame in 2012 due to her outstanding performance as Marley Rose in the comedy drama TV show "Glee.' Later in 2015, she was was praised for her role in the CBS/CW drama series Supergirl. Her debut came in the Mariah Carey-starring film 'Tennessee' in 2008 she has grown considerably with some good films like "Whiplash," "Danny Collins', 'The Longest Ride' and "Juvenile" under her belt. Melissa started her acting career in 2000 with 'The Sound of Music'. She was followed by numerous plays, including 'Thoroughly Modern Millie, As You Like It', and 'The Unauthorized Biography of Samantha Brown. As a performer she was praised for her music in the albums "Glee: The Music Presents Glease' 'Glee: The Music, Season 4, Volume 1, 'Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album Volume 3' and "Glee: The Music - The Complete Season Four'. The recipient of the 2016 Saturn Award for Breakthrough Performance Award for 'Supergirl' she also was the recipient of many other awards.
