She was born Norma Jeane Mortenson at the Los Angeles County Hospital, the 1st of June, 1926. Her mother, Gladys Pearl (Monroe) was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, to American parents from Indiana and Missouri, and was a film-cutter at Consolidated Film Industries. By DNA testing, Marilyn's biological father was identified as Charles Stanley Gifford.
