Kat Dennings was born Katherine Victoria Litwack near Philadelphia to Ellen (Schatz), who is a poet and speech therapist, and Gerald Litwack (a molecular pharmacistcologist). The youngest child of five. The family she comes from is Russian Jewish. Kat was predominantly home-schooled, graduating at the age of fourteen. Kat was raised in a home and was able to graduate at the age of fourteen. Later, she achieved a degree of fame through her the roles she played in The House Bunny (2008) and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (2008).
