Joseph Clifford Montana Jr. (born June 11th, 1956) is an American former football quarterback who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 16 seasons, mostly with the San Francisco 49ers. Montana is also known as "Joe Cool" or "the Comeback Kid", is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of all time. [1][2][3][4][5][6The legendary Montana started his NFL career in San Francisco in 1979. He was there for 14 years. [7] Montana was the 49ers' Super Bowl MVP and the first to win four Super Bowls. Montana also holds Super Bowl career records for the most passes that did not have an interception (122 in four games) and the all-time highest passer rating of 127.8. Montana was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 1993. He played his final two seasons with the team , and helped the Chiefs achieve their first AFC Championship Game. Montana was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the year 2000.
