Alyson Hannigan is an American actress who is most well-known for her roles as Michelle Flaherty in the 'American pie' films, Willow Rosenberg in the TV series 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and Lily Aldrin in the drama series 'How I Met Your Mother'. Hannigan began acting in commercials at age of four , and by the time she was eleven, she was already made it to Hollywood. Hannigan is today one of the most well-known TV actresses. Critics love Hannigan's acting abilities and versatility. She has won numerous awards for her contribution to the small and the big screen as well as one Saturn Award, one Young Hollywood Award and two People's Choice Awards. She was raised by divorced parents and experienced a challenging childhood. As a child of a single parent who was a single mother, she began acting as a child to help contribute to the family's income. Even though she started her career young, she also focused on her studies and attended the California State University. Currently a mother of two girls Hannigan is a resident of Encino with her family.
